विहिवार विष्णुको पूजाको लागि विशेष मानिन्छ। भगवान विष्णुलाई साँचो मनले पुजा गर्ने भक्तको सबै मनोकामना अवश्य पूरा गर्ने भनिएको छ । हिन्दु शास्त्र अनुसार बिहीबार भगवान विष्णुको पूजा गर्नाले जीवनका सबै समस्याबाट मुक्ति मिल्छ ।भगवान विष्णुलाई संसारको पालनकर्ता भनिन्छ। बिहीबारको दिन भगवान् विष्णुको विधिवत पूजा गरी बिहीबारको उपचार गर्ने भक्तजनले जीवनमा कुनै प्रकारको समस्या नआउने जनविश्वास रहेको छ ।
भगवान विष्णुको उत्पत्ति कसरी भयो र उहाँको पूजा कसरी गर्ने भनेर जानौं।विष्णुको पूजा विधिसबैभन्दा पहिले बिहीबार बिहान सूर्योदय अघि उठ्नुहोस्। त्यसपछि नुहाएर सफा लुगा लगाउने ।– खाल्डोमा सफा लुगा बिछ्याएर त्यसमा भगवान विष्णुको मूर्ति स्थापना गर्ने ।विष्णुलाई पहेँलो वस्तु धेरै प्रिय छ। त्यसैले भगवान विष्णुलाई पहेँलो फूल र पहेँलो फल चढाउनुहोस्।यस पछि भगवान विष्णुलाई धूप र दियो देखाउनुहोस्। विष्णुको आरती गर्नुहोस्।बिहीबार केराको रुखको पूजाको विशेष महत्व छ । त्यसैले यस दिन केराको रुखको पूजा गर्नुपर्छ ।विष्णुको उत्पत्तिशिव पुराणका अनुसार भगवान शिवले विष्णुको सृष्टि गर्नुभएको थियो । एक पटक शिवले पार्वतीलाई भनेका थिए कि ब्रह्माण्डको रेखदेख गर्न सक्ने मानिस हुनुपर्छ। शक्तिको साथमा विष्णु प्रकट भए। उनी अद्वितीय थिए । कमलजस्तै नयन, चतुर्भुजी र कौस्तुकमणीले सजिएको। सर्वत्र व्याप्त भएको कारण उनको नाम विष्णु भयो। पौराणिक कथा अनुसार भगवान शंकरले भनेका थिए कि ‘मैले तिमीलाई जनतालाई सुख दिनको लागि सृष्टि गरेको हो । तिमी तपस्या गर्छौ कामको लागि। विष्णुले तपस्या गरे तर शंकरलाई देखेनन्। त्यसपछि फेरी तपस्या गरे अनि देखे कि उनको शरीरबाट सबै पानीका धाराहरू बगेको । जताततै पानी थियो ।’ त्यसपछि उनको एउटा नाम नारायण थियो। सबै तत्वहरू उनैबाट उत्पन्न भए। पौराणिक कथा अनुसार, प्रकृति पहिले उत्पत्ति भएको थियो। त्यसपछि तीन गुण आए– सत, रज र तम। त्यसपछि शब्द, स्पर्श, रूप, स्वाद र गन्धको उत्पत्ति भयो। त्यसपछि पञ्चभूतको जन्म भयो ।
